St. Michael Mission, Peru
Our Congregation made its appearance in Peru in April 1961, through the sisters coming from the German provinces into the city of Abancay-Apurimac to respond to the needs in the area of health care and later, in 1962, in the area of education and protection of orphans. After many beautiful and sad experiences, we are now located in our mission in the communities of Lima since 1985 and in Huamalí since 2009. The community of Huamalí is completely dedicated to pastoral work and catechesis. We also provide health services, under contract with the state, in state health establishments. In the community of Lima, we continue attending to young people who wish to continue with their higher education, providing a residence for university students from the provinces of Peru.
