 2nd Sunday of Advent

TOPIC: …Explore new paths…

Collect:

Almighty and merciful God, your wisdom alone shows us the right path. Do not allow earthly tasks and worries to prevent us from going out to meet your Son. Lead us through your word and your grace to communion with him, who lives and reigns with you in communion with the Holy Spirit for ever and ever.

The Sunday Readings:
  1. Isaiah 11:1-10 (With righteousness he will judge the poor)
  2. Romans 15:4-9 (Christ saves all people)
  3. Matthew 3:1-10 (Change your ways, the kingdom of heaven is near))
Reflection: Please take time to reflect on the Scriptures texts and the questions regarding the quotations of Bishop Ketteler and Mother Maria and to talk about them with other Sisters.
  1. ”The darkest paths lead to light through love and grace.“ Marie de la Roche
How can God strengthen my trust in times of darkness, leading me toward the light?
  1. ”Our Provident God will take care of all your concerns.“ Bishop Ketteler
How does God lead us as a community towards stronger trust, towards new paths?
  1. ”You my God are my patience and my strength; You are my light and my adviser.“ Marie de la Roche
Do I, do we trust enough that the kingdom of heaven is near?

Closing Prayer: Congregational Chapter 2026 Prayer:

Provident God, give us a sense of your Presence on our Holy Adventure together.

Strengthen our trust in your providential love and care

as we explore new paths for the future before us.

Open us to see possibilities, give us the courage to embrace them,

and to enter into this Congregational Chapter

ready to embark on a Holy Adventure with You. Amen.
